Achilles Tendon problems – what to do & how to prevent

By Physiotherapist Jacky Balfour

Achilles Tendon problems are one of the most common injuries that I diagnose and treat as a physiotherapist at the Waldegrave Clinic. They are particularly common in people who play sport – especially sports that involve running and/or jumping.

The symptoms can be acute but are commonly chronic, lasting several months and often recurring.

In collaboration with the Athletic Edge in Hampton Wick , I have written a post about Achilles Tendonopathy as it is the combined approach of physiotherapy and strength and conditioning that leads to a more effective recovery for Achilles Tendon problems.

This informative post that includes exercise videos can be found here.
