Amy Burton

I graduated with a Master of Chiropractic from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. In my final clinical placement year, I received the Flavio Grillo Award from the British Chiropractic Association (BCA) and was nominated by my clinical tutors for the Student Clinician of the Year Award.

I joined the Waldegrave Clinic in 2021, and during my second year, I was awarded the New Chiropractor of the Year Award by the BCA. I continue to expand my knowledge and expertise, completing a variety of specialist courses, and I have recently enrolled with the Carrick Institute in the USA on their Functional Neurology Course.

What’s the thing you’re most passionate about in your job?

As a chiropractor, I am in a unique position to spend the necessary time with my patients, allowing me to listen to their problems, understand their treatment goals, and work with them towards achieving them. I am incredibly passionate about getting patients onto the correct care pathway, whether that be at the Waldegrave Clinic or through liaising with additional external health professionals.

Working within an excellent multidisciplinary team of practitioners who are all passionate and skilled at what they do is truly unique. I feel very lucky to be part of a team that offers a diverse skillset, allowing for better patient care since we have several specialities under one roof.

Keen to uphold the highest standards, we meet weekly to review clinical practices, discuss various conditions, and analyse complex cases. As a result, we are highly knowledgeable about each other’s skills, allowing us to combine our areas of expertise for the benefit of our patients.

Keeping fit and active is very important to me, with swimming, running, cycling, and hiking being my main passions. I like to combine my love for traveling and competing by entering various races in new cities and locations—it’s a great way to seek out new adventures.

A long run or cycle with friends, followed by a home-cooked roast dinner.
