Osteopath

Amy Bryant

I graduated with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from Swansea University in 2021 and have since gained five years’ clinical experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions in private practice, including both acute and persistent pain.

I enjoy travel and have spent the past few years working in Australia building upon my clinical experience overseas. During this time, I developed a particular interest in injury prevention, focusing on not just the symptoms, but also looking to understand and address the factors that may have contributed to the injury, in aim of helping prevent the pain from reoccurring. I incorporate this approach within management, through a mix of hands-on manual therapy, alongside exercise, stress management, and lifestyle advice. I utilise a person-centred approach, aiming to help relieve immediate symptoms while also supporting longer-term recovery and helping patients return to the activities they enjoy, whether that’s sport, work, or daily life.

I have recently moved back to the UK and am looking forward to becoming part of the Teddington community.

Tell me a little about your work history
I graduated from Swansea University in 2021. I spent the first couple of years running an osteopathy clinic alongside a mindset coaching business, with the aim of helping people with stress management and lifestyle change. I then moved to Australia to gain overseas work experience. I came across a role in injury prevention, which began to expand my passion for health education and encouraging self-management. This involved helping people develop the tools to adapt their lifestyle in a way that reduces the risk of injury recurrence and empowers them to take an active role in their health journey. I recently moved back to the UK and am now looking to settle in London, close to family, and continue helping people with healthy living.
I am passionate about identifying the underlying causes of injury and working with patients to address these factors to help reduce the risk of recurrence. I believe this is just as important as physical treatment. This is why, alongside hands-on care, I focus on incorporating exercise, lifestyle advice, and stress management to support meaningful, long-term improvements and ultimately enhance quality of life.
Although I have only just joined the clinic, I already get a sense that everyone works in a collaborative team environment. There is regular group CPD meaning we all get a chance to learn and grow from one and other. And an additional bonus that everyone is kind and caring.
I am either running, hiking out in nature or reading a good book with a cup of coffee.
I am a huge foodie and love all food. But if I had to choose, I would say any of the Asian cuisines.
Next on my list is Canada! Mainly to see all the unique wildlife and beautiful nature.
My perfect Sunday is a slow day. Morning cup of coffee, a run or a hike, and relaxing with friends or family.
It’s hard to pick a favourite but I would have to say the Harry Potter movies. I rewatch all of them every Christmas.
